This Is the New York No One Ever Sees
This video along with this New York Times article describe and take me to a place that I’ve only heard of in whispers and photos.
As a photographer, I wish I had half the courage the people in these articles have. To explore a place that is inherently dangerous due to the subways and the law is a great challenge. But with the great risk comes great reward as they get to go places that few people get to see underneath a city that has a thousand and one attractions above ground.
These places are forgotten, empty but ultimately beautiful - and they are all underneath your feet.
